Cape Cod Maritime Museum- Hyannis

So, this museum has strange hours and not the best website. We ended up here in search of an exhibit that they don’t have anymore. When we got there, small renovations were being done. Staff informed us they were technically not open, but would allow us to walk through. (We weren’t the only ones thankfully!) It’s a small space, and Jacen was bored pretty quick. The museum is absolutely beautiful, but it seemed more appropriate for adults than children. It was a quick stop for us, but I don’t think we will be back soon.

Local Author Mary Shields presents her new book series Barnicle and Husk 4/27

Yesterday we had a great time Hanging out with local author Mary Shields at the Plymouth Hall museum. We celebrated the release of her new book, Barnicle and Husk: the Adventure Begins. She is hosting a wonderful event on 4/28, and her book comes greatly recommended by my 7 year old (who read it cover to cover in one night out of excitement!) Hope to see you there!

Make Break workshops at Michael’s (Saturday 3-10)

This week’s crafts are super cute and Easter themed! There are both a $2 and $5 craft this week. In the past I’ve told you that the Wareham location did not seem to have as good of an atmosphere as other locations, but they have made some serious changes! The last few weeks of been amazing! There is new staff leading the workshop and all of the kids seem to be having much more fun. I encourage you to stop by and find out for yourselves! 🙂

Harry Potter trivia at Barnes and Noble- multiple locations

Tonight we attended the Harry Potter celebration at the Dartmouth Barnes and Noble, and it was great! Barnes and Noble have the best free events, and their staff is always able to immerse my kids into the theme. Tonight they dressed up, made wands, made fortune tellers, played trivia, and ate chocolate frogs. It was perfect, and the next HP night will be help around July 21! 🙂 I’ll be sure to post the upcoming event when it’s confirmed!

Michael’s makebreak kids workshop $2 – multiple locations.

Today we gave the Wareham location another chance and had a GREAT experience with the new instructor. I hope the changes they made stick, because this location is most convenient for us and we love the workshops! Classes are $2 and you can register online ahead of time or at the store the day of!
